As expected, Audi has now also introduced plug-in hybrid versions for the new A6. With a range of more than 100 km, both the Avant and the Sedan are expected to impress as PHEVs.
Audi had only recently presented the successors to the A6 and the A6 Avant and, unsurprisingly, the Ingolstadt-based company now also presented the plug-in hybrid versions, which were already teased at the presentation of the new models.

New plug-in hybrid models for the A6 and A6 Avant
As expected, Audi has introduced the plug-in hybrid variants of the "normal" models of the new Audi A6 with a slight delay. Equipped with a 25.9 kWh battery (gross), the Audi A6 plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) will have the opportunity to cover more than 100 km purely electrically. The maximum charging power is 11 kW, which means that you need just under 2.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.
The PHEVs will be launched on the market in two engine versions, which have an output of 220 and 270 kW respectively. This is provided by a 2.0 TFSI motor with 185 kW (252 hp) and an electric motor with up to 105 kW. The weaker version sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds and offers 450 Nm of torque, while the more powerful 270 kW version scores with 500 Nm of torque and 5.3 seconds when sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h. The top speed for both variants is 250 km/h.
As an added bonus, the plug-in hybrid models also come with all-wheel steering as part of the standard equipment.
Audi A6 and Audi A6 Avant plug-in hybrid – sales launch and price
Both station wagon and sedan can be ordered from May 8 and are to be launched in the summer.
In terms of price, the sedan with the weaker engine starts at 65,800 euros, the station wagon at 68,300 euros. For the more powerful 270 kW variant, €75,050 for the A6 and €77,559 for the A6 Avant are due.
